COMMUNITY CREATIVE MONDAYS

Our Community Mondays open door program, hosted in our new space ‘The Nest’ is focused on sharing food, connection and conversation and it is coming back from it’s winter break! 

Happening every Monday, July – Sept, we are growing for the 2nd half of the program and collaborating with a local artist, Jayrad Therapy Services to create personal pieces of creative expression. The practise fosters inner peace & self-awareness through creative connection and expression. Hosted by the wonderful Judy, she creates a space in which everyone feels invited to express. The program is free, with all art materials supplied.

We will also be continuing to host our Community Lunch every Monday from 12.30pm. We open our doors for everyone, to meet for a cuppa and a chat, sharing a hot meal together. Learn cooking skills and recipe ideas, share conversations, recipe and food ideas, gardening tips and friendship. If you are new to town, love to cook and share meals or simply some company we would love to meet you! No cooking skills required, just your good company 🙂

DIGITAL STORYTELLING WORKSHOP – OPEN TO ALL NW RESIDENTS

We are very much looking forward to our digital storytelling workshop happening on July 10th & 11th. There are still a couple of last spots left. Get in touch to reserve yours now!

Hosted by the vibrant and passionate Samara McIlroy, she brings digital storytelling alive. Stepping you through each stage of creating your own digital artwork she brings her enthusiasm to it all, making for a fun & informative day! You will love watching your story come alive before you as we build first your story, then your visual display, even your voice, if you wish!

A project supported by LWT Healthy & Thriving Neighbourhoods Project, in response to our local youth’s feedback, the project has an intergenerational theme. We look forward to fostering an open space for all age groups to share their experiences about living within our local communities and participating in a unique local community event.

Learn fun digital creative skills. Create a personal digital legacy to share with others forever. Meet people from all over the community. Multi-cultural members of the community welcome. We would love to hear everyone’s unique experience of living in our local North-West communities.

In this workshop, you’ll learn to:
● Make a storyboard, which is like a map of your story.
● Change your pictures into digital format and edit them.
● Make a short video.
● Record your voice and add sound to your video.
