Our April Community Newsletter

We have three big events coming up in April, the first is this weekend where we have a stall at Ecofest. For the first time Ecofest is being held over two days, celebrating, as we also do at Live Well Tasmania, care of people and care of planet. The Festival includes stalls from Tasmanian enterprises, nonprofit organisations, and community groups dedicated to fostering a sustainable and healthy lifestyle and environment, while also enhancing resilience within the community. Come along and enjoy the amazing exhibitors, presenters, workshops, and delectable local cuisine, all while unwinding to the fantastic sounds of our talented performers, and don’t forget to check out our Live Well Tasmania stall!

Second is a Youth Week event on the 10th of April at the Wynyard Community Centre and Skate Park area, during which our Social Activation Team will be providing a number of activities, namely Nintendo switch, Sharman’s Art corner, Chill Out Zone, Suggestion box and Community Art Work.

Thirdly is our Care Farming Open Day on the 26th of April, see below for all the activities we are holding on the day, including a free BBQ!

We have a couple of other events to annouce in May, on the 10th of May (date tbc), we are screening the film ‘Larapinta End to End’, featuring Walter van Praag from Devonport, who has been active over a long period of time in our Community Exchange Network Tasmania (CENTs) project. And on the 19th of May, we are hosting a crucial conversation faciliated by Relationships Australia Tasmania on “What would a connected and respectful Tasmania look like?”. Everyone welcome to both of these events, see below for further details.
