Youth Week Expo

Council invites young people to ‘Bet on Your Future’ at this years Youth Week Expo. Council is inviting local young people, families and the wider community to attend the free 2026 Youth Week Expo, “Bet on Your Future”, on Wednesday 8 April 2026 at the Wynyard Yacht Club.

The expo will run for school groups from 9:30am to 2pm, followed by a general public session from 3pm to 4pm. Held as part of Youth Week 2026, the event is designed to empower young people with the knowledge, skills and support to make healthy choices around gambling, money, mental health and life. The expo will feature a wide range of exhibitors, activities and workshop providers, including the Youth Services Expo, JCP Empowering Youth, ASE Youth Workshop and Entombed Escape Rooms, as well as interactive experiences such as a story workshop, STEM workshop, VR experience, art therapy, DJ workshop and mindfulness sessions.

A highlight of the event will be the themed escape room experience, which will give young people a fun and interactive way to explore problem-solving, decision-making and financial literacy concepts. The broader program has been designed to combine education with creativity and participation, ensuring there is something for a wide range of interests. More than 230 students from Boat Harbour Primary School, Yolla District School and Wynyard High School are expected to attend the school sessions, giving local young people the opportunity to connect directly with services, support organisations and workshop providers in an engaging and practical setting.
