Live Well Tasmania update
We are loving seeing Amy perform her magic and see the amazing mural appear before our eyes to transform our building. We have had so many great comments about it, and people stopping to pose on the interactive swing! See below for other work we are doing to beautify our spaces.

We thank the Waratah-Wynyard Council (see below – Kelly receiving the cheque from Councillor Kevin Hyland) for giving us a Community Activation grant. We purchased an eco-printer, which is fantastic for allowing us to print flyers and other promotional materials for our programs

Care Farming
Our Care Farming project is going fantastically well, we are starting to have an abundance of great tasting produce, such as cucumber, lettuce, basil, snow pea’s and butter beans. The tomatoes are coming along nicely in the polytunnel, and the potatoes, pumpkins, sunflowers and zucchini are all looking great in the garden. The ROC at the Baptist have loved receiving the produce for their Community Food Hub on Mondays and Fridays. The fruit orchard has been receiving lots of much needed care, and the discussions have been continuing about what art to install on the walking tracks.
We have room for more pople to join us, particularly on Tuesdays (or Thursdays is fine too). Contact Kelly on 0498 315 298 or Robin on 0421 461 724.

Garden group
Our garden group have been hard at work, transforming the Centre garden into both a kitchen garden, providing herbs, tomatoes and other goodies for our kitchen, as well as having some beautiful flowers, including sunflowers. Work has started on the childrens area, and underneath the archway is being transformed in a ‘grotto’. For those not familiar with the term (which I wasn’t!), a grotto is a small cave, the kind of place where you feel comfortable, cozy, and protected from the harsh realities outside. We welcome more volunteers interested in helping out.

Social Activation Project (SAP)
The SAP team are continuing to do great work in the community, such as helping out at the Lobster Ponds, and at the ROC. They are looking forward to working with other youth providers for a youth week event in April, stand by for further details!
Community Mondays is back!
When you’re on to a good thing, stick with it! Even though our funding finished in December last year, we have found the resources to keep Community Mondays going this year. Many thanks to the SAP team for supplying a big part of the extra resources! Everyone is welcome to come for a great community lunch, and/or take part in art and craft activities every Monday, from 10.30am to 2pm …
Community Based Income Web Design Workshop
No, web design is not about designing websites… It’s a cultural emergence tool, whereby cultural emergence is about creating “cultures of personal leadership, collective wisdom and Earth care. Emergence initiates breakthroughs that expand our thinking and enable us to build personal and collective resilience, and embody new ways of being and interacting. It nourishes and empowers us to design the world we want to live in” (see https://cultural-emergence.com/)
A huge thank you to Leanne, Geoff, Carol, Tania, Pilar and Jane, and the facilitators Liana and Vari who ran the workshop exploring how to gain more momentum for our Community Based Income campaign (see Hannah Moloney talking about CBI – https://cbitasmania.org.au/peoples-stories)
There are 12 different elements we went through during the workshops such as Vision, Limits, Patterns, Integration, Action and Momentum, the graphic belows shows what we identified as important principles for the CBI project. We identified some great actions we can take in getting a trial happening, which aims to make Waratah-Wynyard better place for everyone. One of the actions we identified was setting up a petition, watch out for that soon!
