Tree Planting Collaboration
Feel-good community collaboration in action! You might remember when Council, in partnership with Wynyard Landcare invited the community to take part in a Tree Planting Day along the Inglis River. We’re excited to share that the day was a great success! In just two hours, an incredible 450 native plants were planted and staked — a true testament to the power of community spirit and teamwork.

A big thank you to Cr Leanne Raw and her husband, who also rolled up their sleeves and joined in on the day. While this is a Council capital works project, the Tree Planting Day itself was an initiative of Wynyard Landcare, with Council proudly supporting the event. You can learn more about our broader environmental efforts here: https://www.warwyn.tas.gov.au/environment/
A heartfelt thank you to Wynyard Landcare and all the wonderful community members who came along to make a difference. Together, we’re helping to protect and enhance our beautiful natural spaces for generations to come.
